A very insightful analysis of the government’s attacks on universities and their real end game provided by the always clever John Oliver. share.google/jRluhDHoOjusat…
Many Americans may not be paying close attention to this but they should. CBS’s change in policy on editing after baseless allegations from Noem is an extremely dangerous course of action. share.google/jxQwM4ISTcvlu9…
Criteria must be set for an allegation to be considered “cause” for termination from a job that does not reside solely within the executive branch. In a democratic republic, that criteria must be set by due process and not by a single individual. share.google/aySdXxHv4Ur8II…
While the Constitution gives executive power to the President, it does not give them Webster’s power. The President cannot call anything a national emergency and there must be criteria for “just cause” firing of an employee. These checks must be performed by a non-partisan SCOTUS
Is it just me or is DPS babysitting state reps a HUGE waste of taxpayer dollars?
It appears Rep. @NicoleCollier95, who has been on the Texas House floor since yesterday, has filed a habeas petition, challenging the House’s requirement that members who returned from their quorum break be released into DPS custody
Correction…one political party in Congress has abandoned their duties. Or perhaps members of that party don’t understand what their duties are as clearly written in the Constitution.
“Trump calls our trade deficits a ‘50 year emergency’ — that’s an oxymoron… I have a chronic, incurable trade deficit with my barber. I buy a haircut from her, she buys nothing from me.” Conservative George Will clowns Trump’s trade war, says Congress has abandoned their duties

Columbia University will pay a $200 million to settle allegations from the Trump administration that it failed to stop Jewish harassment. This is how Trump will make his money - by using his office to extort settlements from those who fears retribution. politico.com/news/2025/07/2…
Why is Columbia paying a fine to the federal government? The government never sued Columbia, never presented the allegations or any evidence to legal authorities, which is part of “due process”. Regardless of how anyone feels about Columbia or higher ed, this is not due process.

Even the conservatives I know think the story is BS. So Trump lies randomly and we get to watch @karolineleavitt (without the cross), @TulsiGabbard, @PamBondi and the gang try and spin this tale so they don’t have to confirm that Trump’s name is on the #EpsteinClientList. We…
Jaw-Dropping, historic levels of projection from @TulsiGabbard here This will be hard to top
Jon Stewart reacts to CBS cancelling "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" and tells corporations and advertisers to "sack up"
to revisit the Constitution and to read a summary of The Federalist Papers. Remind yourself and your elected representatives the importance and role of each branch of government and why the system of checks and balances must be employed to maintain our Democratic Republic.
or judiciary without due process (ie deporting persons under false accusations without a day in court). The Founding Fathers recognized that a branch could abuse power when left unchecked, which is the fastest way to fascism or tyranny. On this holiday, I encourage you…
with impunity? Over the last 6 months, members of the legislative and judicial branches have not fulfilled their roles in governing the nation. They have allowed the executive to operate unchecked as the legislature (ie issuing tariffs under the guise of a national emergency)…
that one branch would attempt to assume the power of another branch. As noted in The Federalist Papers, the Constitution provides mechanisms for each branch to check the activity of another and thus limit each other's power. But what happens when a branch is allowed to act…
