Cold calling still works. Most reps just sound like robots. Here’s what actually books meetings in 2025 — and the cold call flow I use that doesn’t trigger resistance:
Most cold emails are too polite. They try to “build rapport.” You’re not here to make friends. You’re here to get replies. Make the risk of ignoring you greater than the discomfort of replying. That’s when cold email works.
Your SDRs aren’t short on activity. They’re short on context. If a rep can’t explain why the prospect should care in the first 2 lines, the rest of the sequence is just noise. Outbound fails when reps send emails. It works when reps send reasons.
What I put in every Google Doc I send to prospects: 1. The problem (in their words, not mine) 2. Why it's costing them money/time/deals 3. The 3 things that need to change 4. Exactly how to implement each one 5. What happens in 30/60/90 days if they do this
Built a Sales GPT that can write your cold DMs, handle objection scripts, and prep you for every sales call. Most won’t use it. A few will and they’ll close 2x as much. Want the link? Like, comment “Sales GPT”, retweet and I’ll DM you direct.
Most reps “do more activity” when their numbers suck. Top reps fix the system first: tighten the offer, sharpen the list, then change what they say in the first 30 seconds. Track this for 30 days: meetings per 100 touches, show rate, and close rate from those shows.
Most people use voice notes wrong. They ramble, they sell, they lose the prospect. I use a 3-line voice note that gets replies from cold traffic — and I turned it into a plug-and-play template you can steal. Like + Comment VOICE Follow so I can send it.
Cold calling isn’t dead. The industry just got lazy. The channel still wins because it forces real-time truth. You learn in 10 calls what takes 6 weeks in email. If your team isn’t on the phones, you’re not iterating fast enough to compete.
Most people treat sales like mechanics. The real hitters know it’s an internal game. Your frequency dictates your pipeline. Your vibe dictates your conversions. Prospects don’t buy words. They buy the state you’re operating from.
