I BELIEVE these words from my father. #JuliusJones lives to fight on and so many will continue to fight on his behalf. This is what People Power can do. Keep your heads up. Let’s walk and work together.

While Julius Jones's death sentence was commuted to life without parole on condition that he can never again apply for a pardon or commutation, this does not preclude Julius from pursuing legal exoneration in state or federal courts.

I was so heartened when I saw hundreds of Oklahoma City high school students stage a thoughtful walkout today in support of Julius Jones. This may have been the first time for many of these young people to use their voices as advocates for justice. Action is a freeing thing.

The death penalty is inevitably plagued with arbitrariness, racial disparities, and error. Since 1973, 186 people on death row have been exonerated. Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt should halt the execution of Julius Jones. Write or call him here: trib.al/atcwgXG

I so believe that #JuliusJones shouldn’t die at the hands of the state today. I implore @GovStitt to stay the execution of Julius. Commute his death sentence, Governor Stitt. Be on the side of right.

Is @GovStitt really going to pretend this execution is not happening - and not even do the Jones family the dignity of an answer or reply after the pardon and parole board decision? Less than 4 hours left. #JuliusJones

There are days, when we look at unfolding #humanrights abuse and think to ourselves, I really don't want to have to show a documentary about this injustice and trauma, when it can be stopped today. .@hrw calls to halt the execution of #JuliusJones, now just 5 hrs away.

If you’re familiar with the history of the LDF, you know that from the moment Thurgood Marshall founded it, they have made a point to only attach their name to cases with serious doubts on guilt. This execution should be stopped immediately, @GovStitt. #JusticeforJulius

As an organization that has a long history of representing wrongfully convicted clients, LDF has reviewed Julius Jones’s case and is deeply concerned that an innocent man faces execution in Oklahoma. naacpldf.org/press/ldf-subm…

The execution of Julius Jones will take place today if #Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt does not intervene. Journalist Mara Schiavocampo spoke exclusively with #JuliusJones & shared a portion with @TheReidOut. The entire interview is posted on her Instagram at @MaraScampo. #reiders

@GovStitt The Pardon and Parole Board has made a recommendation to commute #JuliusJones death sentence. I am not a religious person, but I am an ethical person. I don’t understand how you can claim you are “praying” about this when a released codefendant bragged about framing him
