Victor with back to back 34 point games. Number 1 lock.
At the time of the draft I wasn’t a fan of the Sharpe selection. But recently, I’ve had a change of heart. If this year doesn’t succeed players like Sharpe, Simons, Little, and Greg can take over along with other talent they acquire through trades for guys like Lillard.
Loved the point guard skills I saw today from Amen Thompson against Mega, which has been his toughest challenge yet. 18/11/5 is very impressive at his size. If he continues to show guard abilities at 6’7 while developing his jumpshot he could emerge as a top 3 pick.
Victor Wembanyama just measured in at 7’4 BAREFOOT with an 8ft wingspan. Insane. The way he moves at his size paired with skill is crazy. Yes, his size will probably lead to an injury at some point, but if he stays relatively fine for most of it he will be generational.
Sengun has looked great in Eurobasket. Although Alperen was very good his rookie year, he didn’t get as many touches as he needed. Showed a scoring leap as the primary option for Turkey. Could be a lead playmaker for the Rockets due to the team not having a strong point guard.
Many people are worried about Victor Wembanyama and how injuries could effect his career. But since coming back from a minor injury has put up 19/7/4 in his first game and than 17/6/2 in his second game while only playing 15 minutes. And that third column is blocks, not assists.
The Ignite are now playing a full G-League season schedule, and are eligible to compete for a G-League championship. This gives Scoot Henderson a huge spotlight that could put him in contention for number one if he steps up. Expect to see a lot of Cissoko, Miller, and Efe also.
Was thinking about doing a thread on the Jazz with THT, Kessler, and other possible young talent from the Knicks. Good thing I decided to wait for a trade to go down. Donovan to the Cavs is wild. Will eventually talk about the current Jazz young talent now.
