I really like the new islands @jetbrains IDE design tbh. I'd wish it supported the native MacOS translucency, but the existing background is also pretty cool.

Will try to use LLM agents more seriously in the future. That means learning about AGENTS.md and stuff like that. For example, it happens quite frequently that an agent tries to compile my project and needs multiple tries because it doesn't know how my project is…

I don’t really get this 67 meme, but I have to admit it’s fun seeing google wobble like that.

no way

Finally started experimenting with Siri Shortcuts: it takes some getting used to but then it's actually quite powerful. You can also use some LLMs, and the automations can even run when the Mac is currently locked.

I built the most advanced IDE for iPad that has ever come. It's basically Xcode for iPad. It implements its own Swift interpreter, allowing iOS and visionOS to run code and SwiftUI apps (with UIKit support). It is even faster than SwiftUI Previews on macOS. More to show soon.…

The moment one of these robots becomes useful I hope that I can get one. I just love the thought of being able to automate so many arbitrary tasks.

Here’s 60 minutes of nonstop package sorting… boring enough for you?

some days I just really have no idea what to post.

a lot of downtime recently (TBF, all over the internet, not only Cloudflare)

We are aware of the issue impacting the availability of Cloudflare’s network. It was not an attack; root cause was disabling some logging to help mitigate this week’s React CVE. Will share full details in a blog post today. Sites should be back online now, but I understand the…

I don't like the implications of that. Seems like I won't buy a new GPU all too soon.

love it that I can finally play those again! Some of the first games I‘ve ever emulated quite a few years ago, so now is my first time properly experiencing them with motion controls and all.

Not yet sure if I like an AI company owning Bun. Obviously Anthropic buys Bun to secure their own tech stack, just hope they don't make it worse for everyone else.

Anthropic is acquiring @bunjavascript to further accelerate Claude Code’s growth. We're delighted that Bun—which has dramatically improved the JavaScript and TypeScript developer experience—is joining us to make Claude Code even better. Read more: anthropic.com/news/anthropic…

Just automated to disable stage manager and auto-hide the MacOS menu bar on connecting my MacBook to my TV monitor. Pretty awesome what you can do with Siri Shortcuts.

Is it just me or does YouTube sometimes just cut of videos at the end? With some videos, I just can't imagine their creators ending abruptly without at least saying something like "thanks for watching".

Passwords suck, and they always have. Resetting them isn’t the real fix. Here’s why it’s time to move on to something better (don't worry, no paywall): drefrajo.dev/en/blog/case-a…

The single greatest thing about MacOS is that it usually just works. They really don't give you a lot of freedom to tinker with, but that also means that it's pretty easy to be productive.

A few weeks in, I have gotten used to MacOS and I have to say: MacOS feels like pure magic in comparison to Windows 11's mess right now. Everything just works and is insanely smooth, I have not had a single issue with it. I love how clean the UI looks in general, I know you can…

Just got an OLED TV to replace my two external monitors. It’s crazy how much better MacOS looks on displays with deep blacks.

Super cool! Runs smooth even on Safari.

The Shopify Live Globe is back this Black Friday! And we built a pinball game out of it. It runs at 120fps in a browser with a full 3d environment, physics engine, VR support and more. 👀

Have I ever mentioned that I really genuinely don’t like Windows? Well, now I have.
