Has anyone participated in the London, UK Book fair or the in Ottawa CA? If so, is there value? My publisher wants me to participate, but it is not cheap.

Ok need some input. My book was as high as #40 in its genre in November and December. Sales must be dipping, now #250. where can I go to get more exposure for the book?

I could use some guidance. As a new Indie author. I am looking at attending some summer book fairs to present my book. besides fliers and bookmarks should I have some books on hand to sell or link them by a laptop to the site to order? I guess first are book fairs successful?

Have you ever completed a chapter seemingly satisfied, THEN you lay down to sleep and wake in the middle of the night and have a better idea? Realizing "OH CRAP" I am going to rewrite the entire chapter. AHHHHHH.

With my first book completed and published, I am struggling with promotion. I have been getting calls from companies that want to promote my book and make it available in store, but for a fee. when I do the math, the breakeven is so high I elect not to. Looking for ideas.

As a writer there is great pleasure in developing the characters and telling the story. Then you have the pain to market and get the word out and how good your book is. There must be a A better way.
