Thanks to @skynews for picking up our report. Admissions to hospital down for general public but up by 60% for people who are homeless. Need to address mental health and addiction support in the community. And more specialist #inclusionhealth practices in the UK. @PathwayUK
The number of homeless people seeking NHS treatment has surged in the past four years, as the homelessness crisis fuels a health crisis, according to a charity. trib.al/VlxV1zE
A minibus of people every day. Up by 60% in a decade. If this was the trend for any other health problem we'd recognise it for the public health emergency it is.
18 people die each day due to drugs. This is a growing crisis in the UK. We’re at No 10 Downing Street today to deliver our petition signed by thousands calling for the government to declare this crisis a public health emergency. Find out more: salvationarmy.org.uk/news/twice-ber…

It’s changeover day when the doctors start jobs, so here’s a belated reminder of this gem from @drphiliplee1.
It’s increasingly hard to see a Doctor Policies made by NHS leaders & Governments have lead to fewer GPs Many GPs finishing training next month will not have jobs to start, with many unemployed or working less than they would chose All due to policies & lack of funding for GPs
I’m afraid the Govt’s reformed welfare bill offer does not go far enough: - They’re still imposing £3bn in brutal cuts - Creating a two-tier system - No time for MPs to scrutinise changes The bill needs to be withdrawn and genuine consultation with disabled groups initiated.
In 1945 Attlee used 150 majority to create a Welfare State...in 2025 Starmer 170 majority will ask awful Tory party to help him destroy it....Shameful Kemi Badenoch offers to rescue Starmer’s welfare reforms as Labour rebellion grows independent.co.uk/news/uk/politi…
Watching Starmer and Lammy dance on the head of a pin when asked if this is illegal tells you all you need to know: They know the attack was illegal (their own legal advice says so) but don’t have the moral clarity nor guts to say so. There will come a time, soon enough, when…
MPs vote on the assisted suicide bill tomorrow. I desperately hope MPs vote against; it’s dangerous & deadly, especially for vulnerable people who often don’t have a genuine choice about their end of life experience. We should be prolife. I cannot and will not support this bill.
Does anyone know if there are any 'letters of comfort' around crack pipes / safer inhalation devices in the UK? I'd had heard of them in Devon and Cardiff. But I'm hearing now the home office may have withdrawn these? Anyone heard similar? Thanks!
Sick of saying it. Asylum seekers can’t claim benefits. You need an NI number. Asylum seekers can’t work. You need an NI number. They get £49.18p week to live on. Could you live on that? NO. So stop pretending these people come here to be lazy or take your jobs. It can’t be both.
Did you all know, seriously ill patients are seen routinely by non-doctors. From primary care to specialist assessment in hospital and back again.
This is what PAs want . A Non- medically led patient pathway ‼️ Diagnosed /referred by a PA to secondary care ‼️ Seen in rapid access clinic by a PA ‼️ Followed up by a PA in primary care Why are patients being denied care by medically qualified Doctors ? @rcgp @lengreview
Thank you Rosena
The Terminally Ill Adults Bill doesn't protect the vulnerable: those who are socially isolated, on the lowest incomes, battling poor mental health etc. It could easily lead them to feeling they have a ‘duty to die.’ This isn't the intention but the consequences could be terrible.
1 in 5 of the UK’s care workforce have a non-British passport. Starmer would have us believe these carers are the “squalid” result of a “failed experiment”. I say they do vital, necessary, humane, skilled work and they are worth their weight in gold.
The Assisted Dying Bill risks creating a two-tier system where those who can't pay for care are forced to opt for an early death. Instead, palliative care should be government-funded so it's accessible to all & doesn't leave people choosing between suffering or assisted suicide.
This hardly ever works. Honestly, dipping face in ice water is a bit better I have found over the last 20 years. Valsalva is not bad also. The coolest ER trick is probably the parent’s kiss… bead stuck up your kid’s nose? Don’t bring them to the ER, just close the contralateral…
Could someone explain to me in a polite and rational way why we expect disabled people to use gender-neutral toilets but are outraged at the concept for everyone else? #gender
Only just discovered this in a letter today ...AWait Blood Results = AWBR! How annoying is that!
