It occurs to me that @Apple would be incredibly smart to release a communication device that did not allow social media. Not a device with software lockouts via screentime, a device that actually did not allow social media apps at all. A reduced app set, somehow hard-coded into…

Growing increasingly nervous about all the time and attention the React team spends on RSC. Working in Remix, I don’t feel like it solves a problem I have.

Just went down the signals rabbit hole. Really powerful, simple idea. I think I understand the appeal. But honestly, even if signals were the standard, I think I’d still gravitate towards React+React Forget.

Package which comes closest is npm.im/cachified . Really sweet tool and easy to use. Only feature I wish it had was auto refetch apart from a request.

Love using @tannerlinsley React Query for front end caching. The strategy of returning stale data if fresh data isn’t available, as well as allowing queries to refetch on a timer is perfect. Could react query be used with redis and bull to accomplish backend caching?

Just finished a large scale migration to @remix_run. Still more to do, but here are the initial numbers. Start Render: -69.06% First Contentful Paint: -70.10% Speed Index: -57.2% Largest Contentful Paint: -67.10% Cumulative Layout Shift: -55.31% Total Blocking Time: -33.94%
