ROLAP Advantages :- servers are highly scalable. Existing RDBMS. No zero facts can be stored. Do not use pre-calculated data cubes.
OLAP Operations :- Roll-up Drill-down Slice and dice Pivot (rotate)
Types of OLAP Servers :- Relational OLAP(ROLAP) Multidimensional OLAP (MOLAP) Hybrid OLAP (HOLAP)
Bottom Tier :- The bottom tier of the architecture is the data warehouse database server.It is the relational database system
3.Hybrid OLAP (HOLAP)- is a combination of ROLAP and MOLAP. which are other possible implementations of OLAP
2.Multidimensional OLAP (MOLAP)-which directly implements multidimensional data and operations.
