I hate that we have to do this again but y’all realize they pick the ones who might be dangerous and give them the Super Bowl to neutralize them, right?

Comparing KC's subsidized grocery store to the DMV is ironically very accurate. Just like Missouri DMVs, the store is *not* government-ran. Both have a pointless private middleman that just makes it shittier

The government can't even run the DMV efficiently. You think they can run a grocery store?

Ring cameras are partnering with Axon (makers of police body cameras, among other police tech) to make a new feature that allows people to opt-in to police being able to live-stream everything the doorbell camera sees AND allow police to request footage directly from users

Every extension of surveillance from the police state will be used to maintain fascism and eliminate (+ neutralize) those who are most deeply vulnerable within it. A robust police state is not the result of fascism, but a prerequisite for it.

Drones as first responders have arrived in Kansas City. Part of ensuring @kcpolice have assets that can provide updates to the ground, observe law breaking, and help spot those needing help. They’re deploying citywide soon and have already helped KCPD catch a felony suspect.

Sometime around noon today, about 100-150 Patriot Front affiliated neo-Nazis were dropped off outside of the Liberty Memorial in Kansas City Missouri. x.com/salusxpopuli/s…

.@QuintonLucasKC did you approve this? Im getting reports that police are PROTECTING these Nazis as they threaten the safety of our city. x.com/salusxpopuli/s…

Nazis are literally marching en masse through your city as we speak.

Enforcement was promised and will continue until bad actors stop with criminal behavior on our streets. Good work last night in our entertainment districts like Westport and the Crossroads by the @kcpolice resulted in arrests and vehicle seizures.

Was listening to Built to Spill in the car and walked into Broadway Cafe where they were also listening to Built to Spill. Will be a good day.

God this band rocked.

I guess another responsibility as mayor is to blatantly mislead an entire city about what their tax dollars will be spent on and why. And then refuse to walk it back when called out.

One responsibility as mayor is organizing campaigns for city initiatives on the ballot, and putting together an exceptional team. Since 2019, I have been blessed to work with amazing people who have helped our team win every ballot initiative we’ve put before Kansas City voters.

What could she be talking about here? Schools and healthcare? Schools and safe, affordable housing? Schools and reliable public transit? Nope. Schools and jails.

Proponents of the jail tax have been circulating even more myths about Question 1. Relying on city officials, courts, and police as authoritative sources overlooks community perspectives and distorts reality. So, here's another round of💥JAIL TAX MYTHBUSTERS 💥⬇️⬇️⬇️

Isn't it kinda wild that City leaders decided they want to build a second new City jail before they even knew what we currently jail people for?

Dylan Pyles podał dalej

If jail is the last resort, why are we asking taxpayers to fund it first? Read why I’m voting no on the jail tax in the @kansascitystar here: kansascity.com/opinion/reader…

🚨 REALITY CHECK: KC Politicians are FEAR-MONGERING to justify a new jail🚨 City politicians are pushing for a new jail, claiming it's for high rates of "assault" cases - but the data tells a different story. Read on for the truth about who's actually behind bars in KC 👇

If the US is serious about ending the housing crisis, it will dismantle the revolving door between incarceration and homelessness. It's time to put housing first instead of criminalizing vulnerable people for not having access to safe, stable, and affordable housing.
