Following the extraordinary FOI revelation of #HMRC’s settlement deal of 15% with large companies & @gregsmith_uk’s question, we’ve written to the Chancellor @RachelReevesMP. Those she agrees are victims of mis-selling MUST be given equal terms as multi-million pound companies.
Now it’s known that #HMRC settled for just 15% (85% discount) with large companies, victims of mis-selling MUST be offered at least as good terms. The current review into settlements must now conclude this to have any credibility. We’ve written to Ray McCann urging him to do so.

Anyone running a business will know what a joke HMRC is - unpleasant, unreachable, unreliable. Decent taxpayers are treated like criminals when somebody finally does pick up the phone. I called for an overhaul in Parliament today - make it work for the people paying the bills!
