Yes @involveUK - there's definitely something in the air! 2019 is off to a very good start when it comes to #demopart. Yesterday the parliament of Eastern Belgium approved the establishment of a Citizen Council - selected by civic lottery. #DeliberativeDemocracy
A fixed Citizen Council will set the agenda and monitor the follow-up by the elected politicians of the recommendations of individual Citizens' Assemblies. Both bodies will be drawn by lot from the inhabitants of the region as of 16 years old. #OstbelgienModell

Balanced and careful dialogue here on brexit, including majority of leave voters reflective of public. This will have been done to a very high standard. They ultimately prefer to stay in single mkt/cust union to no deal.
