Bond, Covalent Bond

HISD: solubility of gp 2 Hydroxides Increases, solubility of gp 2 Sulphates Decreases

In hydrogen bonding, the H bonds with the lone pair (almost like a dative covalent bond) of FON (fluorine, oxygen or nitrogen)

A polar bond is more likely to break, which helps us know where in the molecule the reaction takes place.

London, Van der Waals, dispersion, and instantaneous dipole-induced dipole ARE THE SAME. Then there's permanent dipole-dipole and hydrogen

In a tetrahedral distribution, each lone pair (non-bonding pair) reduces the bond angle by 2.5 degrees i.e. 109.5, 107, 104.5

Covalent bonds are more stable than ionic (2 separate atoms) as there are 4 attractive forces (between 2 e- and 2 nuclei) instead of 2.
