News update! A highly resistant isolate of E.coli has been cultured from a wound in a dog!
Escherichia coli isolate cultured from a wound in a springer spaniel was found to harbour a known carbapenem resistance gene – along with resistance genes for other commonly used antibiotics, such as cephalosporins. ow.ly/br5M30o8uMS

Keep your pets safe... #PetTheftAwarenessWeek - NEVER leave your dog unattended. - Ensure contact details on their microchip records are kept up to date. - Take regular photos of them, incl defining markings. - Keep your garden secure. - Be vigilant when out and about.
