Hey trans kids, I love you. God loves you. You are a miracle of Divine creativity. You are part of MY community. You and I are friends. Let them have their hate. We are busy rejoicing in the miracle.

Hi. Please do not tell a pregnant person that just miscarried, "God needed another angel" or "Jesus called them home so they won't ever know suffering. " Don't say this. Ever. To anyone suffering or grieving. Ever.

Just because someone has a mental illness doesn’t mean they’re in acute danger all the time - recognize when you’re projecting your fears about someone’s mental illness onto that person, take a breath, and truly listen to what the person is telling you. Read that again.

A white coat ceremony is the symbolic start of the rest of your medical career. It is understandable to not want to link that core memory with someone whose views regarding healthcare strongly do not align with your own. I stand with the University of Michigan medical students.

In the spring of 2019, I arrived to medical school only to find that medical simulation manikins representing black and brown bodies were systematically and unethically excluded. At that time, I was already aware of the historical and non-consented contributions of black (1/5)

If you shrug at 850,000 dead people because they're a "small percentage," tell me exactly how you're pro-life?

What’s “mild” for one person can be a death sentence for another. Our discussions of Omicron are steeped in ableism.

For me, this ratio error caused me to say in my presentation that my patient was oriented to date, when it was in fact I who was not

#MedTwitter I have an announcement. I have devised a new clinical tool. It’s called the sleep:rounds (S:R) ratio (~coincidentally~ my initials). Hours slept divided by hours on rounds. < 2.0 predicts poor attempts at humor, impulsive cafeteria snacking & rambling presentations.

Canceled all elective surgeries. Converted PACU, outpatient recovery, cath lab waiting room, etc to med/surg so we can convert the original med/surg floors into COVID-19 units. M/S beds will be literal beds with curtains for privacy in the meantime so we can have rooms for COVID

If we lift mask recommendations how are we gonna tell the normal people from the idiots?

Normalize the fact that you don't know someone's gender identity just by looking at them, and saying "Well, they look male/female," is a phrase you should delete from your verbiage.

Mood: I do what I can, I know who I am, and that is enough.

If you refuse to be vaccinated, please stop saying you’re pro-life.

If police officers can take white terrorists who have just committed mass murder into custody without harming them, they sure as hell can pull over Black people without killing them.

Elizabeth Wareham reposted

We can’t even finish trying one police officer before another murder. It’s not about “one bad apple.” It’s about a culture of death and domination that must be dismantled.
