Ruth Buzzi is a daily joy

I dreamed I saw The Rockettes all dressed up as Easter bunnies, dancing backwards. It was sort of a receding hare line.

We have a specific request! We're looking for Dublin Street photography from 1950-2000 specifically by women. Can anyone help us out for an upcoming exhibition? Here's a cracking 1969 photo of Halston Street by Elinor Wiltshire to inspire you!

someone needs to STOP the council. They actively hate Dublin.

Schoolgirl me daydreaming at choir practice in Nenagh church could never have imagined the world watching #ShaneMacGowan’s funeral there, or Gerry Adams and the cute one off 21 Jump Street do readings, or Nick Cave and half the Frames and the Hothouse Flowers belting Pogues songs

A beautiful and fitting tribute to the late Shane MacGowan completed in Kilbarron village earlier today. A formal unveiling will be arranged at a later date but for now this tribute, which has been in the pipeline for some time, is in place for anyone wishing to visit.

Shane MacGowan has died, aged 65. In a 1997 BBC documentary, he and his parents reflected on life in Carney Commons, County Tipperary, where he spent some of his childhood.

Vivid memory- As a teenager in the 80’s a series of legends passed - Grace Kelly, Cary Grant; Jimmy Cagney, Danny Kaye. My mother was so sad after them, and I didn’t get it. She said ‘You will understand one day , when all the heroes of your youth start to die’. I get it now Mam.

1/2 I was with Shane MacGowan one day in a London hotel when he saw two men walking down the street outside. He jumped up and beckoned them in - they were Paddy Hill and Gerry Conlon. Shane ordered tea and after they left I asked him why they became emotional when they saw him.
