His extreme flaws as a human being aside, Miyazaki is undisputedly one of the greatest artists of the 20th and 21st centuries. Isao Takahata is no longer with us, so I dunno what Ghibli’s going to do after Miyazaki is gone. Still, an incredible run nonetheless.
