Seeking to love with knowledge and discernment

I am selling range of secondhand kids clothes / shoes ranging from 1 year to 8 years old, collection from Sheffield, if interested message me what you're interested in and I can share links to the postings

Throughout the winter months I have a niggling feeling I need to buy more bike lights. Like a backup light. And a backup for the backup light. So imagine my delight to find a lovely front bike light in an old bag. Hello my old friend, the extra front light I had lost!

Sometimes I hear words and I have to override my initial thought to correct a default misinterpretation. An example is Pontefract. My mind hears it and first jumps to “probably a place in Wales” then I have to think “no, you know it is in Yorkshire”

It is so wet we have worms crawling up the front door!

Learnt a new term today: habit stacking

Hang on, mr whippy make donuts?

How have I got two of these at home?!

emble64's tweet image. How have I got two of these at home?!

Bought a niche thing. Had to order from specialist shop. The shop owner said they sell less than one a year. But having used said thing I am convinced it is great and should not be so rare.

Went on a rare (for me) road trip. You know what I miss? Paul O'Grady on Radio 2!

Went to see a friend who is terminally ill today. Rode my bike there, the bike I got when we lived together. Sad. But also nice to say goodbye.

Earlier while cycling I passed a dog walker. A bit later I had to pull over (emergency custard cream snack needed!). The dog walker commented how my bike had reminded him of colleague in Germany who had one leg and cycled to work everyday.

By the university today a couple were looking at me. One starts smiling at me, a beaming smile. Fairly sure I don’t know them, never seen either of them before. Then they point downwards. Ah, we are wearing the same shoes. I look up smiling, “Great choice!”

Cycling between the cities of Sheffield and Birmingham (England)… is this a) doable and b) a pleasant route?

Online exam done. Felt quite brutal at the end. Relieved to have had two essay questions I could answer. A couple of the later short answer questions were tricky. Got to wait until mid December for the results.

Joint first placed team in cycling quiz. Nice!

Heard a clip about the artist behind the new installation in the Tate Modern turbine hall and I would really like to go see it.

How many trees are there where you live? UK tree equity map: uk.treeequityscore.org/map

Spent the morning trying to get proctoring software to work for a test exam. Frustrated. Don't want to withdraw but at the same time can't find a way for it to work.

Very close pass by a van transporting flammable gas and being called a ”dickhead” out the window of a taxi. Everyday hostile behaviour toward me cycling in #Sheffield. It might be more notable for my colleagues to hear when I don't have a scary experience than when I do.

Answered a question today before the person even asked me. Telepathic problem solving skills!
