Fun fact #3: I lost the original file for the first book's cover art, and had to recreate the crystal type for both of them. Fun fact #4: The books are excellent and you should read them. If you enjoy historical fantasy, alt-world things, teenagers screwing up, and secrets...
Fun fact #1: The original cover art concept for book one was something very different before I art directed it. (The trilogy will have a consistent style.) Fun fact #2: I was hand model for this one, but we had to shorten my nails in the final illustration.
Also the building in the main story photo was formerly a large produce/supermarket store - of the sort we need more of in the neighbourhood - that we used to go to. (It took Interac!! <3) It now has the "Development Application" sign. -_-

It's easy to just shrug this stuff off, because these sorts of companies make it almost impossible to get a refund or cancel (it took 2 months to get a refund for BROKEN software on envato.) We need to insist on better as consumers and not put up with this crap.
Online services need to do better. In the last month I've a) been charged on an expired card for a stock photo service that didn't let me cancel; they will NOT refund me and b) the task management software I just invested a yearly fee into is now FREE.
