All too typical story: 1. Hire for a very senior eng role for ~6 months. 2. Assume this person can solve all the team's problems, and load it on them. Do no real onboarding. 3. In 6 months, this person leaves or gets fired. 4. Go to step 1. 5. "It's hard to scale the team."
