Chris‘ analysis continues to be a compelling read, especially when using the phrase “yesbuttery”. There seem to be parallels between the rabid brexiteers and their intellectual brethren, flat Earthers. If they can find one, slight positive, it proves Brexit was a good idea….

A country on hold. New post on my Brexit & Beyond Blog. There's the usual weekly drip of Brexit bad news, but the UK polity is now on hold, with the real decisions about its post-Brexit future deferred until this death row government expires: chrisgreybrexitblog.blogspot.com/2024/03/a-coun…

Fascinating thoughts from @chrisgreybrexit. Chris has consistently catalogued the deterioration of Britain as it plowed ahead with enacting Brexit. Constant repetition of reality is the only way the Brexit dullards can grasp what a daft idea it has proven…

Britain is slowly learning what Brexit means. New post on my Brexit Blog. From defence to regulation to trade to border & food security, UK is learning the logic of connectedness. It's creating a messy patchwork, but the direction of travel is clear: chrisgreybrexitblog.blogspot.com/2024/02/britai…

As ever, I commend to you @chrisgreybrexit’s excellent blog entry for this week. Chris always manages to cut through the fog generated by the Government surrounding this topic.

Brexit: a mug's eyeful. New post on my Brexit & Beyond Blog. Fittingly, 4 years on, the week's Brexit news is dominated by trade non-deals, costly border controls, and yet another NI reboot. It's ever clearer that Brexiters sold the public a dud product: chrisgreybrexitblog.blogspot.com/2024/02/brexit…

Some interesting end of week reading from @chrisgreybrexit. It encapsulates the endemic dishonesty within the current UK political discourse. The way reality has to be distorted to align to the cognitive dissonance of a few wing nuts in the Tory party is fascinating.

Brexit has embedded dishonesty in British politics. New post on my Brexit & Beyond Blog. This week's news illustrates how Brexiter sophistry and refusal to take responsibility have made honesty all but impossible, ironically undermining their own cause: chrisgreybrexitblog.blogspot.com/2024/01/brexit…

Having suffered the horror of being spiked, I’ve spent years campaigning to make it a specific criminal offence. The Home Secretary has undermined our work when he laughed at spiking — giving perpetrators a green light. RT if you agree he should be fired. theguardian.com/politics/2023/…

The words “I don’t remember” are doing a lot of heavy lifting this week…..

Must read from @chrisgreybrexit regarding the dismal and ongoing failure to meet any of its promised benefits, this time focussing on the current immigration row.

Immigration and asylum rows are another sign of Brexit's total failure. New post on my Brexit & Beyond Blog. Brexiters said they just wanted UK to set its own system & that would "drain the poison" of these debates but now they're more psychotic than ever: chrisgreybrexitblog.blogspot.com/2023/12/immigr…

Might have had a little snow overnight….

eplane's tweet image. Might have had a little snow overnight….

Like clockwork, @chrisgreybrexit publishes his excellent Brexit blog considering Labour’s election stance on the topic. As with all his mulling, Chris approaches this with balance and contemplation. Well worth a read to stimulate the grey matter…

Should Labour be bolder about Brexit? New post on my Brexit & Beyond Blog. As a general election gets closer, this question has been given new salience by the remarks of polling expert John Curtice. But is a different approach really viable for Labour? chrisgreybrexitblog.blogspot.com/2023/12/should…

OK let's play your game Suella These are statistics which occurred while you were Home Secretary. You were literally in charge.

Today’s record migration stats show we’ve let in an extra million people in just 2 years, a population equivalent to Birmingham. The pressure on housing, the NHS, schools, wages, and community cohesion, is unsustainable. When do we say: enough is enough? 1/3

A country of the rack of Tory Brexitism. New post on my Brexit & Beyond Blog. Flipping from 'centrism' to populism, Sunak's depthless leadership is the latest episode in the Tories' 30 year war to which they have yoked the country: chrisgreybrexitblog.blogspot.com/2023/11/a-coun…

Spectacular, humorous and worthy of a read, especially of the comparison of Johnson and Cummings as two mismatched buttocks of the same derrière. A masterclass in the art of political analysis.

What the Covid Inquiry tells us about Brexit. New post on my Brexit & Beyond Blog. Though focused on how the Govt dealt with CV-19, the Inquiry reveals what kind of Govt was dealing with Brexit. It'd be absurd to think it was any more competent at that: chrisgreybrexitblog.blogspot.com/2023/11/what-c…

"Brexit means that what the UK loses on the swings it also loses on the roundabouts. That is, the more the UK diverges from the EU the more expensive Brexit becomes, but the less it diverges from the EU the more pointless Brexit becomes" A must read.👏 chrisgreybrexitblog.blogspot.com/2023/10/mustnt…

Well worth a read….a thoughtful piece voicing the frustration with the Tories’ inept governing….

Well worth a read from @chrisgreybrexit . Helpful analysis and thoughts on how to keep pushing for the road crash Brexit to be constructively overcome.

Brexit: unsettled and still not settleable. New post on my Brexit & Beyond Blog. Despite growing consensus that 'actual' Brexit has failed there's little agreement about what to do. Includes discussion of associate membership, the rejoin campaign & more: chrisgreybrexitblog.blogspot.com/2023/09/brexit…

We’ll worth a read of @chrisgreybrexit’s excellent analysis of the ongoing slow motion road crash…

The eighth summer of Brexit: pragmatism without honesty. New post on my Brexit & Beyond Blog, analyzing how attempts to fix consequences of the delusion of 'taking back control' without admitting that it is a delusion run through the summer's Brexit events chrisgreybrexitblog.blogspot.com/2023/09/the-se…

Hey @Ryanair, my parents who are in their 70s and 80s, had accidentally downloaded the return flight boarding card instead of the outgoing ones and you charged them £110 to print them at the airport. £110 for 2 pieces of paper which took 1 minute. Shame on you

Brilliant @ReeceDinsd45561 now has a new account after Twitter locked him out of his original account with over 100,000 followers & won’t give him access. Let’s help him reach the followers he’s lost (many of whom don’t know this has happened) by sharing this widely #FollowReece

Thus far I’ve been relatively accepting of the fact that twitter has refused to give me access to my old account (after I’d accidentally locked myself out). As it stands, they’ve shown zero intention of letting me back in. Over 100k followers and most of them with no idea why I…
