Watch this video featuring our work @CivRightsCorps to learn about how our case will free almost 20,000 people from jail every year in Houston, Texas.
A judge doubled this woman’s bail because she said ‘yeah’ instead of ‘yes’
I wrote about NYT, CNN, and ABC’s casual acceptance that US dictates and Trump’s arbitrary use of American violence against Venezuela is somehow a form of “international” law. It’s not, and US media should stop implying and/or outright lying that it is. columnblog.com/p/us-media-rus…
Let’s take a moment to reflect on the absurdity of Israel and its propaganda machine. Israel forced people of Gaza to flee thousands of times throughout the war— the harshest of which came at the beginning of the genocide, when it forced the entire northern Gaza Strip and Gaza…
Of the several liberal reporters I’ve talked to, none of them understood this basic point. Acted like it blew their minds. Such is the level of jingoistic indoctrination this stuff is just repeated with almost no thought by *serious* journalists.
why does US media keep treating these “sanctions” as if they are a law Venezuela is “circumventing”. Venezuela is understandably evading US piracy. There’s nothing sinister about it, it’s just an assertion by Trump. US officials “evade” Chinese sanctions dozens of times a day.
Israeli forces shot a sixteen year old boy in Gaza today, blocked first responders from reaching him, and a tank later ran over his body. Another normal day during a ceasefire!
NYT editorial board, which hasnt written an editorial on climate change in almost 4 yrs, has written two editorials in as many days advocating increased military spending, sourced entirely from blob propagandists, painting a dark, paranoid vision of inevitable conflict with China
In @nytopinion The nature of armed conflict is changing. “Keeping pace in these 21st-century arms races will require political will and national coordination between the public and private sectors and research institutions,” the editorial board writes. nyti.ms/4a5Sq1C
One of the darkest aspects is that the Editorial Board can be presumed to understand its audience. The level of manufactured ignorance it takes for a non-predator to respond positively to these ideas is breathtaking.
A full, official editorial today in the New York Times. Not an op-ed. The statements and images are made on behalf of the paper itself.

It’s never enough for militarism mouthpieces like the NYT editorial board. The US spends more money on its military than the next 9 countries COMBINED yet we are somehow always “behind” alleged existential enemies whose intrinsically sinister nature is simply taken for granted.
In @nytopinion A classified government report showcases shocking U.S. military weaknesses. It's time for America to “create a relevant and effective force that can deter wars whenever possible and win them wherever necessary,” the editorial board writes. nyti.ms/4oKubJL
If you don’t know about our Right2Hug campaign, you should check out the links below. What these kids around the country are enduring and also how they are fighting back is something a lot more people should know about.
THREAD. Today our lawyers will be in a small courtroom in Colorado fighting for a constitutional right for children to hug their parents. Did you know that millions of children every year are barred from hugging their parents because of new policies? Do you know who benefits?
THREAD. There are alarming developments in Canada recently. Some politicians are apparently doing their best impression of Trump's Executive Orders on cash bail--they want to determine who is in a cage and who is free with their family based on who pays up-front cash.

Our show @AJFaultLines has made 6 documentaries about Gaza. The talented cinematographer @DOPHussien worked on them. Two years ago today, an Israeli soldier killed his 4-year-old daughter, Salma. If you read anything today, please read his devastating words about losing her.
Torture is a feature of life in thousands of US jails and prisons. It’s often blamed on “guards,” but someone had to design this contraption, build it, plan its use, and run it up the chain. Judges and lawyers had to create a legal regime where this stuff pervades for decades.
Torture on US soil: Per Amnesty International, guards have tortured non-citizen detainees in "Alligator Alcatraz," shackling them & confining them in small boxes in the sun. The brutal methods pioneered at Gitmo & Bagram have come home. Another perilous rubicon crossed...

CNN found that IDF shot starving Palestinians trying to collect flour. The IDF bulldozed their bodies into shallow, unmarked graves. Left to decompose, scavenged by dogs, and never documented. Families may never learn what happened to their loved ones. edition.cnn.com/2025/12/03/mid…
