Today, an actor yelled at me multiple times mid-show for recording a Broadway show, even when I wasn’t. I was using a captioning device. My worst nightmare realized.

When a fire alarm went off that wasn’t clearly a drill, I was in a 3rd floor classroom, told to shelter in place. My teacher said “don’t worry, the doors have a 3-hour burn time.” Too often, disabled people aren’t deemed worth saving. We’re seen as dead weight & get left behind.
It takes a monster to kill children. But to watch monsters kill children again and again and do nothing isn’t just insanity—it’s inhumanity.
Back in April 2021 Spotify deleted a few dozen Joe Rogan episodes, but did not reveal why. Just like they aren't revealing why now. What if they also had to delete his misogynist, homophobic, transphobic and ableist slurs? There might be no episodes left.

I’m not saying disabled actors shouldn’t have jobs, nor am I saying disabled actors don’t exist. But what if this hypothetical disabled actor isn’t as good an actor as the other actors auditioning? Also, is this only for disabled actors or does it branch to all actors?
