Here are some of the reasons that our members at the @SierraClub overwhelmingly supported a no confidence vote in @BenJealous and his Executive Team last month 😤😤😤 This is not "progressive leadership" - this is union busting and general mismanagement. #1u
It's been around a month since @SierraClub said the union was spreading false information about potential layoffs - and, you guessed it, since then they have laid off and locked out dozens of our members (in direct violation of our contract) as well as unrepresented staff.
UPDATE - In the face of pressure from staff, @SierraClub has delayed their vote until the 18th. We are calling on the Board to reject any budgets that include layoffs, and to investigate union-busting and mismanagement by @BenJealous and his Exec Team.

Update from the @SierraClub bargaining table: Management refused proposals to extend the current contract, allowing it to expire on January 1, 2024. We are standing strong, and will not be bullied into allowing management to gut worker protections and reduce pay and benefits.

Update from the Sierra Club bargaining table: Today management proposed to take away existing contract language to eliminate our right to a 7% raise (minimum!) when members experience a substantial increase in workload. AKA, they want us to work more for less pay.
