Look. I love @TheBearFX as much as the next Chicagoan but this opening scene of aggressively scraping this film of “ice” from the car had me LMAO. Please. We use wiper fluid and wipers for child’s play like this.

Last thought of the night: give a hug and much love to your friendly local journalists in Chicago, Wisconsin and New York City for their reporting today. They deserve it 🙂

Such a simple but powerful question. “What do you need?”

A patient was yelling at someone, then at me. I had a few options. 1) Call security. 2) Keep walking. 3) Go confront him. 4) Go find his nurse. (The RNs love this. But really. They don’t.) 5) Ask him what he needed. You might have guessed I picked 5. Here’s what happened:

You know where there are no mass shootings? Airports. It dawned on me when I flew last week, how relaxed I was walking through the terminal, finally relaxed knowing I wouldn’t be randomly shot.

You know how epic failures become hilarious stories for the future? Heartbreak is same vein. Happily married 15 years, but listening to Phoebe Bridgers as I prepare chili for Super Bowl and relishing in emotions drummed up from lovesick decades ago. Memories are life’s treasure.

Got re-certified in CPR/First aid yesterday and proud to say I’m confident in saving a man’s life. Dummies were all naked male torsos. Videos showed all men having heart attacks, shirts ripped open, getting saved. Hope I know what to do if a pesky female breast gets in the way.

Happened to meet the new Michigan Speaker @SpeakerJoeTate tonight. He told me the story how he got into politics: @gretchenwhitmer was his college prof for a class on “running for office.” She encouraged him to go for it. Stay in school, kids!

The Chicago Fire Department has fired a paramedic after an internal affairs investigation into the death of a Buena Park man determined the first responder did not attend to the patient and then allegedly submitted a false report after the patient’s death. trib.al/6nm3LOE

My best friend in the whole world died today and I’m heartbroken. 💔

Woodland residents gather to protest against the opening of a shelter for migrants at a former school in the neighborhood. “There’s plenty of room in Little Village for their people,” a resident said.

OK, part 2 to the question: Are you a manager or hiring director who has had to confront someone who lied on their resume? What did you do? How was it handled?
