so. we live under capitalism. meaning that publisher's first priority is profit. so they prioritize appealing to the largest consumer demo who reads. that group is white, cis, straight women. diversity initiatives are around only to try and give the marginalized a fighting chance

There's a huge myth that a ton of people are faking sickness for some social/financial benefit, but the reality is that most disabled/chronically ill people are actually pretending to be less disabled than they really are because that's what society wants.
And ending the break with just short of 30,000 words added to my manuscript. Yay me!
