Did @10xGenomics just make newer versions of Cell Ranger open source? github.com/10XGenomics/ce… (cc @sjackman, @luizirber). This is a huge win for open, transparent, and reproducible science if it’s the case!

Help us shape the future of data analysis. Take this survey, sharing your experiences using Cell Ranger, Space Ranger & Cloud Analysis to analyze single cell or spatial datasets. The first 100 eligible respondents will get a pair of 10x Genomics socks! 10xgen.com/3IMn6nq

Does anyone know someone who works at the Genomic Data Commons at NIH? Looking for someone I can ask about a recent data sharing policy there.

It's here! We’re thrilled to announce the launch of the Sequel II System, reducing project costs & timelines with approximately eight times the data output compared to the previous Sequel System. Look at that beauty! 1/3

Received a bogus debt collection notice from a company that knows it would cost me more fighting it than paying it. @AGBecerra's office just put them on notice that parasites aren't welcome in California. #GovernmentWorking #CommonProblemsCommonSolutions

Today we announced the acquisition of our company by @10xgenomics and are excited to have our novel technology for spatially-resolved transcriptomics join their best-in-class product portfolio. buff.ly/2EdpuWA

Old job went from a cutting edge science start-up to $1.2B acquisition. Don't know how to guarantee that outcome, but know you're guaranteed not to get it without uniquely brilliant coworkers who are emotionally invested. @infoecho was one of those: medium.com/@infoecho/the-…

Just came from the crowd @MikeReissWriter left in stitches. I knew why he had 4 Emmys, and after in person confirming his talent now know why he doesn’t have 10 (hint: his wife lacks the “Ex” prefix). If you liked the Simpsons, buy this book: amzn.to/2Q2ek9C

I am happy to announce Rust-HTSlib 0.21 and Rust-Bio 0.22. Rust-HTSlib contains many small usability improvements (a lot of them implemented by @10xgenomics). Rust-Bio provides a comprehensive HMM implementation (thanks to Manuel Holtgrewe). Great work by a growing community!

Interesting, @ucdavis has just introduced preprints category on the faculty merits/promotion file system. Nice way of moving things forward.

Very happy to have been interviewed by the wonderful @biodids for the GSA blog!

If @RepJeffDenham votes again for this tax bill I am going to make sure he isn't elected again. Higher taxes for Californians, no elimination of the AMT or carried interest deduction, and increased debt? Selling out your district will have consequences. #SimplerNotHigherTaxes
