If you're a federation member you should have a look at these expenses. I have to wonder if they are necessary and if there is any scrutiny/oversight?
Some of these claims shouldn’t even be on a PFEW credit card as they are GIS spends, but when you’re a CEO loyalist, any claim and anything is possible.
£1700 for a Xmas function…..?! Wow
I would love to see the look on my skippers face if I claimed £60 plus quid on a meal. £15 is our maximum. Why are they not bound by the same regulations as we are??
The only place they can increase subs is via conference. Given they have already held a ‘Fed Connect’ and informed members of their work, it appears the conference and its expense is purely to land a vote on a subs rise.
If you’re happy for the alleged subs increase to pay for this, sit back and do nothing. If you’re not, let’s support the campaign to #breakthemonopoly
It certainly looks like the Ardonagh and Insurance groups get well looked after too. Not for the first time.

Well looking at the expenses of CEO stooge Matt Cane, Met Fed’s General Secretary, it appears not.
We are all still waiting for accounts to be published as rumours of an another subs increase abound. They’ve changed though don’t you know? Or have they?
The @PFEW_HQ gravy train pulls into Birmingham for its conference today with NB and exec members no doubt planning to hit the best restaurants in town. CHEW, CHEW
We wonder what charities like @MindCharity or @samaritans make of this. @PFEW_HQ has completely forgotten its place and purpose. Being run into the ground by charlatans.
PFEW, a staff association for rank and file police officers, retweeting an article with the headline ‘Weed Out Wimps…’ We can only assume it agrees with the terminology used. Utterly irresponsible and unforgivable with Nat Sec heavily quoted.

Have you served with loyalty, dignity and compassion only to be broken by a system which: - Demands everything of you but gives very little in return. - Offers patchy welfare, wellbeing and occupational health services following your attendance at multiple traumatic events. -…

When I put this blog together, this is the part that really hit me hard. “I am totally broken by the last eight months. My mental health simply cannot withstand any more of this prolonged, unnecessary and deeply damaging ordeal. I have been left with no choice but to seek…
When the Monopoly Turns on You Monopolies are built on power. They thrive on control, on the absence of alternatives, on the certainty that those who depend on them have nowhere else to turn. For police officers in England and Wales, the Police Federation is that monopoly. It is…
Clear gaslighting from the CEO in this article. He’s hidden his staff financial settlements in the Claims budget for years and clearly sees it as a way of doing business.
The Police Federation urged forces not to see settlements "as the price of doing business". "They must confront with candour what they say about their culture, leadership, and duty of care.” Utterly ludicrous from an organisation that has done exactly that for years.
I sincerely hope some good investigative journalists dig into the public quotes attributed to PFEW in the attached BBC article and compare/contrast to the way the organisation treats its own representatives, as outlined in this blog, copsagainst.wordpress.com/2025/11/15/whe… which reflects the…
