Elon Musk might have killed Larry, but now we have a chance to see birds on the € notes! The European Central Bank is redesigning the euro notes, and asking for feedback on the themes they are choosing between! Tell them why we need birds on €s here! survey.ecb.europa.eu/486783

Outliers do not exist. You can have errors or observations with more variability than you expected to find. The world is not Gaussian, and it's full of mixtures!

REPEAT AFTER ME: We get rid of outliers when their extremeness indicates they are not part of our population, we do not get rid of them solely because they are extreme.

1/n Strong pressure from journals on people collecting animal GPS tracking data to make them 'open' (available to anyone). Could anyone tell me whether capture-mark-recapture data from long-term studies are under the same pressure when published?
