you're supposed to listen to it october thru january! its giving crunchy leaves autumn, anxious thanksgiving, whimsical halloween, miserable xmas, AND kys new year all in one album. very utilitarian

pretty basic take but: music genres matter. ppl unfairly dismiss genre tags bc it seems pedantic to differentiate b/w death metal and grindcore or whatever. genres are not just superficial similarities but regions, scenes, paradigms of certain artists in conversation w each other
for some reason, i've never had that feeling. many of those who experience it are ashamed of it, as it doesn't even align w/ their values. it would be a lot to work thru if i felt that, & i'm sure it would be rooted in some kind of early conditioning & shitty experiences
