There's more chance that Julia Donaldson has done more to help literacy in this country than the billions of pounds spent on imposing systematic synthetic phonics and the phonics screening check on schools.

This noise actually feels like it's trying to play a tune, which is really bloody distracting 😬
There's some sort of construction work going on outside the office. Fine, but it's producing a noise that sounds uncannily like a small child playing a recorder out of tune. Constantly. Unpleasant.

This is what I did on my 'day off' today! Very satisfying getting the undercoat on the swim shed, and then clearing one of the (3!) ponds on site.
