William Roscoe, ‘the greatest of Liverpool’s citizens’ died on this day 30th June 1831 (192 years ago). A group of us did some gardening, litterpicking and putting down roses on his monument in Roscoe Gardens.
To mark the anniversary of William Roscoe's death @friendsofroscoe and I,did a clean up of the space and planted a few things, including: Rosemary for remembrance, Sage to rid of negativity, Mint for good fortune. #friendsoroscoegardens #APortraitofWilliamRoscoe #RoscoeBirch
