this is a perspective i strongly dislike in music adding “modern words” to songs is only bad if the writing is bad. Rap & Country thrive on modern imagery, but the myth that Music Must Be Timeless persists in indie/pop. part of why it’s boring to so many people imo
Hate it when artists add these modern internet terms into songs that will severely date the song in the future + corny.
