Some pretty eye-opening data on the effect of AI coding. When Cursor added agentic coding in 2024, adopters produced 39% more code merges, with no sign of a decrease in quality (revert rates were the same, bugs dropped) and no sign that the scope of the work shrank. Big impact.
Obsidian Importer now lets you generate Markdown files from a CSV. It converts thousands records in seconds and automatically generates a Base that you can use to explore and edit the data.

Wait, this looks way better than lastpass. Is it possible to transfer my lastpass database to Proton?
I keep warning that so many of our systems are still built around the assumption that quality writing and analysis are costly and therefore meaningful signals. Our systems are very much not ready for the revelation that this is no longer true, as this planning objection AI shows
It doesn’t make sense to continue wanting something if you’re not willing to do what it takes to get it. If you don’t want to live the lifestyle, then release yourself from the desire. To crave the result but not the process, is to guarantee disappointment.

I have been writing for years about the fact that we are not ready for the destruction of costly signalling mechanisms. Writing used to be a way of measuring effort, ability and diligence. We still have no easy substitute. oneusefulthing.org/p/setting-time…

Can't wait to voice clone each Neo home robot owner and yell "Neo, get the door please" while outside in the owner's voice so their home robot comes and opens the door to let me in!

I keep seeing AI shite of me popping up on YouTube. The general rule is that if I appear to say something that you agree with and you are a UFO nobber, flat earth bell end or think comet ATLAS 3i is a spaceship, it’s fake.
Every employee at Khan Academy, including Sal Khan, is doing homework. We became students and teachers to experience our reimagined platform like districts will in the 2026 back-to-school season. See what we’re learning alongside our pilot partners: brnw.ch/21wWSoF

Think that modern password rules are nonsensical? The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) just updated its password guidelines. They’re a big shift from the old “complexity = security” mindset. Here’s what’s changing and why it matters 🧵 1/8
Introducing Claude Haiku 4.5: our latest small model. Five months ago, Claude Sonnet 4 was state-of-the-art. Today, Haiku 4.5 matches its coding performance at one-third the cost and more than twice the speed.
Excited to release new repo: nanochat! (it's among the most unhinged I've written). Unlike my earlier similar repo nanoGPT which only covered pretraining, nanochat is a minimal, from scratch, full-stack training/inference pipeline of a simple ChatGPT clone in a single,…
🪩The one and only @stateofaireport 2025 is live! 🪩 It’s been a monumental 12 months for AI. Our 8th annual report is the most comprehensive it's ever been, covering what you *need* to know about research, industry, politics, safety and our new usage data. My highlight reel:
Today we’re introducing Claude Code Plugins in public beta. Plugins allow you to install and share curated collections of slash commands, agents, MCP servers, and hooks directly within Claude Code.
Getting frequent pings from CPOs/VP looking for product leaders at other companies who’ve found great success with AI tools/workflows. Everyone’s trying to figure out what everyone else has figured out.
