I’m sharing on Twitter only because on LinkedIn you have to make a formal post but your girl is a #Noogler . I got my dream job at Google!!! The entire interview process took five months 😭but I’ll be starting July 11

to destroy quick mechanisms of free speech. This buy was never intended to continue the platform. Elon knows how powerful Twitter “was”

Twitter is All the News

I think there are three reasons the app is slow. First it’s bloated with features that get little usage. Second, we have accumulated years of tech debt as we have traded velocity and features over perf. Third, we spend a lot of time waiting for network responses.

After running a performance test on Twitter’s landing page, it can be seen that there is a 2sec discrepancy between phones loading in US(15.2sec)vs India(16.8sec). It should be noted that these results are simulated in experiment settings however

I was told ~1200 RPCs independently by several engineers at Twitter, which matches # of microservices. The ex-employee is wrong. Same app in US takes ~2 secs to refresh (too long), but ~20 secs in India, due to bad batching/verbose comms. Actually useful data transferred is low.

The real issue imho is they undid server side rendering and you have to download tons of code just to see a single tweet. Other countries are slow because of the round trips and initial download and not so much from the backend since everyone shares that.

I gots the VID y’all

Before Pride month ends where my #QueerCoders at? 🤔👁👁

Really want to share my journey on getting to Google … the first attempt at a video ended up failing because the video was too big for my mac to render. So I’ll be making smaller videos on my phone… once I move to my new place

Calling Atlanta tech LatinX and POC, do you want to attend @RenderATL and have not purchased a ticket? DM us, first come first served, you must attend the full conference. Be kind and keep this for folks without an L&D company budget. Ready go!!! ❤️

I tried y’all I probably spent the last five hours continually trying to up load and render this video. It’s too big I should’ve made it shorter. Maybe I can do different parts. Note to self if I ever make a video again I need to keep it under seven minutes.

Both polls conducted on LinkedIn and Twitter showed that over 70% of people used the computer for over 8 hours a day. That being said I’m curious to see what issue arise the most with physically due to use Which of these choices affect you most in you day to day computer use?

So I have my bootcamp video that I said I was going to share made, but apparently it’s too long and premiere Pro has a terrible time relocating memory when encoding videos. So my computer has crashed over three times. Hopefully I can get it out by the end of the weekend 😭😡🙃

Hey for anyone who is updating their Mac OS from BigSur to Monterey just understand the AirPlay feature will now be using your 5000 port. Hopefully this saves people from errors that occur from using the same port on their servers. This can be disabled in preferences
