Just finished an MBA. I'm currently a quarter way through the AAT Level 2 bookkeeping. Was just turned down for an accounting apprenticeship (where they put you through the AAT Level 2.) Because I don't have National 5 Maths. Back to college again this year I guess 😭
My experiences of hospitality is complaining about unlawful business practices, workers rights not being upheld etc and being told that was just how the industry is. Then discovering my hours would be cut for the next week. Virtually very hospitality job I've had.
When I worked in a pasta bar all my Italian colleagues had no concept of worker’s rights and I’d be like ‘nooo you guys should join a union you’re working like 70 hr weeks??’ and they’d get all sad and annoyed and be like ‘eh but someone has to cook-a the pasta’

Closing in on 9 months since I had my spell in hospital with heart failure. Went into hospital weighing 136kg. Weighed in at 95kg today. Gym 3 days a week for 6 weeks. Getting stronger & fitter. No booze/caffeine/refined sugar. Not gonna die now. 💪

Used some deep heat spray on my shoulder in the gym tonight. Breathed some of it in. Felt like i'd licked lava.
6 months ago, was bluelighted to ARI and spent a week getting blasted with drugs for heart failure. Didn't know if I'd live to see 2025. Tonight I played 10 minutes in a league game for my club. Still a long way to go, but I'm right proud of myself tonight.

6 months post-heart failure diagnosis. Back to work on a phased return (in the office next month) just shy of 5 stone lost, back at the gym, diets holding up, Total mindset shift. Really keen to spend more time with my mates, do something creative. less time spent grafting.
