Do you remember when you joined X? I do! #MyXAnniversary Then it was much more sensible and civilised. Around the time of the Brexit poll things became much more heated and bitter. Of late this has been magnified by fake, misleading and #racist posts. Please @x put a stop this.

A £2k salary sacrifice limit will discourage people from making necessary provisions for their pension. But pension funds don’t sit idle; they’re invested to create jobs and growth. Less money in pensions = less investment and less growth. The gov. is economically illiterate.

The real ‘political campaign’ is that waged by the BBC. Against private enterprise and markets. Against controlling our borders. Against cuts to govt spending. For Net Zero, lockdown, the EU and UNRWA. It regularly behaves like a propaganda channel, not a state broadcaster.

Nick Robinson is exactly right: ‘…there is genuine concern about editorial standards+mistakes. There is also a political campaign by people who want to destroy the organisation that you are currently listening to. Both things are happening at the same time.’

I’ll tell you what isn’t indicative of journalistic integrity: taking a position on an issue purely based on opposing your perceived opponent’s position. What matters is whether the BBC did something wrong not whether Boris Johnson thinks they did or didn’t. So did they?

The timeline we’re now in is one where Boris Johnson lectures others on journalistic integrity.

There's about to be an attempt to reframe the exposure of the Panorama Trump programme as an assault on the BBC. The truth is it's one of the most egregious breaches of editorial guidelines in the Corporation's history. Footage was literally doctored to mislead its audience.

Can I remind Labour ministers & MPs blaming "14 years of Tory austerity" for our woes, that Labour chancellor Alistair Darling began austerity after 2008 financial crisis? In March 2010 he warned of deeper cuts than Thatcher's over next two parliaments: theguardian.com/politics/2010/…

@PJTheEconomist Are you saying the fuel that powers EV’s is not taxed? Given the UK has some of the highest priced electricity in the world, largely because of taxes, I would suggest the problem isn’t loss of revenue at all, but rather stealthily increasing the tax take.
