It is totally inconceivable we keep on cautioning this. Africa isn’t a testing lab. I would like to vividly denounce those demeaning, false and most of all deeply racists words. Helps us save Africa with the current ongoing Covid 19 and flatten the curve.
Let us save ourselves from this crazy virus that is plummeting the world economy and ravaging populations health worldwide. Do not take African people as human guinnea pigs! It’s absolutely disgusting...
So true! These organisations are making their profit using funny dubious nonfinancial charges even on a poor guy.... Once they do so, they sponsor golf for rich people. It's so strange and sad! Maybe there is a need for a hashtag in this
It wld be better if corporate institutions would start showing their corporate responsibility towards #COVID-19 in various districts in Malawi @TDivala @JMazalale @gcc509 @DrMommyMel @MelitaGordon5 @bnltimes @NationOnlineMw @MRA_Malawi @Malawi2014 @WJS_Nyangulu @Ran_George
Understanding gender differences in body mass index (BMI) between males and females has been much debated. In the KSA, gender differentials were found in the BMI, with females showing a higher BMI than males. @Gowokani11 @gcc509 mdpi.com/1660-4601/17/7…
Thandika Mkandawire has passed on! It is with great sadness and a deep sense of loss that #CODESRIA, announces the passing away of Professor #ThandikaMkandawire on March 27, 2020.
A big loss to LSE indeed..
I'm sad to hear about the passing of our colleague. I have long been a fan of Thandika's research and his ever insightful critiques and ideas. Also a great loss to the LSE and the African politics community. @LSEnews
Still coming to terms with it..., Malawi has lost, the world has lost, economics has lost...sleep well giant...! @almsosa @jchintsanya @lonje...

In consultation with the University we have made the difficult decision to close all Library buildings after 5pm tomorrow, Friday 20 March. This is unavoidable: we must do all we can to protect the health and wellbeing of staff, students and other Library users. (1/5)
And just like that! The numbers in South Africa have jumped up🤷🏾♀️. See what I mean? We had Obediah smiling and telling us there are no cases in 🇿🇼. Prepare to be told there are now 1 000 within a few days- but with no warning. #WhatWeLearnedFromHIV
As for us the people, some of the comments I see on here make me want to dig a hole & hide. The lies shared on whatsapp groups are beyond bizarre. The more things change, the more they stay the same, it seems. Covid-19 is here, there where you are. You’re on your own black child.
Did we not learn anything from HIV & AIDS? What did our governments learn from Ebola? Why do our governments behave so abominably? We have the information & resources. The picture of 🇿🇼Health Minister smiling in denial does not fill me with assurance. It fills me with dread.
We pointed at gay men. Today we point at the Chinese. Then at sex-workers. Today we point at Italians. Every pandemic is blamed on the foreigner, or those who don’t conform to our (negative), values. HIV was not going to get us, the ‘good’ people. We believe the same on Covid-19?
The ones we pointed at organised themselves. Gay men went all out! Sex workers went door to door, bar to bar, empowering each other & organizing solidarity. The tide turned. Their communities recovered & numbers went down. Amongst the ‘good people’, numbers went up. Same today/
If someone was to compile all the billions of MWK that have disappeared, been stolen, misused etc over the past couple of decades, we would truly see why Malawi isn't a poor country & why Malawians are poor Moving forward, what are we going to do about such things y'all? Damn.💔
Mpinganjira shouldn't think tamuyiwara, that since we have won, we are even now... No man, we are busy celebrating kaye and we will come back to you..
