Why not combine ‘word inspection’ with my list of morphological roots and affixes found within the ks2 spelling lists to make spelling lessons that stick!?

My wife is a teacher and apparently one kid has been changing his name to 'Reconnecting' during the Zoom lessons so that he doesn't get asked any questions. Been doing it for weeks. The lad doesn't need to worry about his education, he's already a bona fide genius.
Apparently children are safe to go to school today, as long as they’re carrying a Scotch Egg.

Does anyone else take fruit to school for their lunch during December and regularly bring the same bit of fruit back and forward from home to school? This week, it’s a Pink Lady for me.
🚨😍Numicon is great for “goes into” #division😍🚨 Today we explored & interpreted remainders. Took inspo from #eyfs posts that make use of the outline of #Numicon -in Yr5 it was to show the next group that we only have a part of! Tomorrow-we tackle exchanges in a calculation😆

A short video showing techniques for breaking written calculation into small steps. Building understanding, generating discussion. Also, giving children the opportunity to succeed BEFORE they've understood a whole calculation procedure.
