. @YuanfenYang do you really think the treatment of trans people in the UK is akin to “Putin’s Russia” as your colleague @NadiaWhittomeMP alleges?
‘Whittome spoke alongside Labour MPs including Emily Thornberry, Dawn Butler and Yuan Yang, and described the present moment as ‘a terrifying time for the trans community in this country” Not so long ago these comments would have made the BBC and Sky Grateful for small things
"Minister of the Crown". For shame.

This is a massive issue in the UK, including HK dissidents being told the same thing cc @bene
The abuse is awful but when authorities dismiss and gaslight us, it’s worse. That HAS to change.
I wonder how this relates to the UK's position on Palestinianism.
This is what modern “decolonisation” looks like. Everyone gets a cut of the money except the actually colonised.
Guess what you can't do at 16 in England? Make a will, apply for a mortgage, buy or rent property, pay council tax, marry, get a tattoo, buy alcohol, buy cigarettes, buy fireworks, buy knives, watch 18-rated films and games, join the police, adopt a child, gamble in casinos...!
The title "Dr" itself is not protected, but using it in a way that implies you are a registered or practising medical doctor when you aren't could constitute a criminal offence under section 49 of the Medical Act 1983, especially in a medical or healthcare context. @JanetEastham
Hi @JanetEastham Firstly, its Dr Asif Munaf. Put some respect on a man's name. Incorrectly addressing someone - the first mistake rookie journalists make, tut tut. Secondly, I do thank you for your investigative passion. The fact that you write for the trashy Telegraph means…
Sanctioning Israeli politicians is easy; sanctioning Chinese politicians not so much.
Of all the disappointments today, hearing the Foreign Secretary speak about meeting the diabolical Liu Jianchao as if it were something to be proud of really floored me. Kudos @TomTugendhat for raising Liu’s disgraceful record of Transnational Repression.
I'm sure @YuanfenYang and all the other Labour MPs will be along shortly to show solidarity.
As I wrote, the decision to cancel @HilzFuld's visa also raises some serious questions about Australia's commitment to free speech and whether mere differences in political opinion are now acceptable grounds for restricting the entry of foreign nationals into the country.
What a coincidence that @YuanfenYang wasn't one of them!
Good #StandWithTaiwan Delegation of Labour MPs arrives in Taiwan in first visit since UK election theguardian.com/world/2025/may…
Why won't you respond to these simple questions @drwatsonsa?
What is "mass paedophilia by the IDF"? And do you seriously think any Israelis like killing babies?
Hamas encountered many Muslims as they ravaged their way through the Nova Festival site. They made them prove that they are Muslim by reciting verses from the Quran. They murdered them anyway.
Any comment from @YuanfenYang?
My timeline is swamped by the mass outrage over this. Not. Barely a mention of it. Then again, it doesn't involve Jews. It's SO transparent.
More Labour MPs turned up for a statement on Israel than one on British Steel. While they posture abroad, they’re ignoring the damage they’re doing at home — crushing our recovery and hiking taxes on working people. Their priorities are all wrong.
This is absolutely crazy. But sums up the situation well.

Calling for sanctions on Israeli parliamentarians doesn't give you much of a leg to stand on when complaining about being sanctioned yourself.
Although we have entered a new year, the horror in Gaza continues. Today in Parliament I asked the Middle East Minister for an update on the Prime Minister's comments that sanctions were being considered on Israeli ministers Smotrich and Ben-Gvir.
