every 2yrs @jamesmfee comes out (again) with a newsletter. same old, same old. bashes @Esri, talks about another new job to promote his company, brags about some of his older skills. interesting to see if this changes this time around, but I for one am not holding my breath
Have a few from the tiny guys (Maptitude, Manifold, ObjectFX, MicroImages, Cadcorp) - but need more... keep sending them via DM. many thx
I have lots from the big guys at ESRI, a few on UMN Mapserver, Autodesks, etc. Need some more from Autodesk actually...
Anyone know of any good (or bad) Intergraph or PB/MI web maps to look at?
Wonder why no one else is being evaluated? Not up to task? http://tinyurl.com/yhxj4jc #wmsshootout
Go to this map and zoom out one level. That's some fugly cartographic text placement: http://tinyurl.com/yz6t5qj
OS in the UK produces color blind maps - pretty cool via @mcwetboy's blog (http://tinyurl.com/yk6tgq6)
you and me both! @adam_fox I'm looking forward to the "explosion" --> RT @spatialsustain: Cartographic Explosion Coming http://bit.ly/1gvQDP
Last time I checked, Jack doesn't have a beard: http://tinyurl.com/m7x8zu
Ouch... actually fell asleep watching a #geoweb presentation. And this one is supposed to be a good one. Must get to bed...
Watching some of the #geoweb presentations. Have to admit... I'm wanting more... pretty dry at the moment. Some are very sales-y.
I think this is an embarrassment to GIS: http://tinyurl.com/m3e9x9 We need better leadership !!!!
Great news! RT @Taliesn yes, right next to our developer. Cartography has just as much time scheduled as dev. See ORIGIN on Greeley's site.
Where does the cartographer in your org sit at the project planning table when you are designing web mapping apps? Are they even there?
Nothing too 'shocking' from the ESRI UC today - too bad. Was hoping for "BIG", but was disappointed. There's always tomorrow... #esriuc
Wonder what the big announcement rumored for tomorrow's ESRI UC with Microsoft will be...
RT @sbixel: checking out ColorBrewer 2.0 - (Color Advice for Cartography) http://colorbrewer2.org/ export to ArcGIS 9.X feature
Again, lots of great suggestions for new GIS web applications to blog about - keep them coming!
Getting caught up on some blog posts - had some that were supposed to automagically post for me while I was away but boom went the dynamite
Are we lacking that much direction that we have bloggers on "the Most Influential Geospatial Leaders" list? http://tinyurl.com/l9g7n2
