coming back to confirm that JS was indeed completed the moment Object.hasOwn reached stage 4 (okay, maybe Error.isError will also be nice)

unironically JS will be complete once this is in

a while back when i was trying out Zig i made github.com/goto-bus-stop/…. now it's used in CI for a lot of projects, but only a minority are Zig projects, a lot of people use zig as a much better cross-platform C compiler : )

i dont understand why projectfluent.org seems to be so little used in JS apps. it's pretty small, has by far the best authoring syntax, and is obviously made by people who know their shit wrt internationalisation. popular alternatives are literally using JSON lmao

one underrated aspect of a good responsible disclosure process is that you can assess the vulnerability together and get a realistic view of the impact, so the vulnerable party does not underestimate it and the reporter doesn't just have to speculate on the severity

feels good to look at what's going on in JS land lately and not knowing what 80% of that shit is about. what is a remix or a turborepo? dont know dont care. doing things other than programming is kinda based

spent some time learning css grid and suddenly *every* problem seems like it should be solved with grids. i hope i'm not overdoing it

so that email vercel sent out about nextjs conf, titled "tomorrow will transform your career", was maybe overselling it a bit. i'd say it feels pretty much the same. at least it reminded me to unsubscribe from marketing newsletters

continues to be strange that the soundcloud API keeps getting new development while not giving anyone access for like 4 years now.

this is a new one: an old bogus security warning returns, and now people see a "Critical" issue in their npm audits that literally says "Withdrawn" in the title. great feature with no downsides, not frustrating at all :)
