The doors to #QCTiP2025 are about to open! From next Wednesday to Friday, Berlin will host the largest international conference on quantum computing theory in practice—at the beautiful and historic Harnack House, where Schrödinger, Einstein, and Planck once came and went. We're…
After the smash hit debut album "NISQ", @preskill releases his long-awaited sophomore project "Megaquop". Critics laud the forward thinking and maturity evident in this release but wonder -- can lightning be caught in a bottle twice? arxiv.org/abs/2502.17368

A fabulous visit to Innsbruck ion-trappers and a wonderful many-body workshop in Tübingen to cap off the year!
Our new work is opend on arXiv. We investigate a maximum likelihood decoder with the process tensors which can describe non-Markovian noise. We also evaluate the effect of non-Markovian noise for the five-qubit code and Steane code with MPO approximation. arxiv.org/abs/2412.13739
Awesome conference in an awesome place, if you have relevant work then please consider submitting for a talk!!!
Submissions for QCTiP 2025 are now open.
"Towards" should never be the leading keyword of your paper title. Tell me what your technique achieves, not what you're day-dreaming about.
Next year's edition of the great QCTiP conference is happening in Berlin, and we're organising! Tell your friends! Tell your enemies!! #QCTiP2025
We are thrilled to announce that the 6th edition of QCTiP will be in Berlin on the 23-25 April!

Given a set of available operations (gates & SPAM) on a quantum computer, assuming each component suffers from a Pauli noise channel with certain ansatz, can we learn the noise parameters self-consistently, completely, and efficiently? We provide a solution in our new work 📜…
And lucky last for the conference, David Allcock with some v impressive results in Oxford Ionics’ electronically controlled ions #APQC2024
Keen for Christian Marciniak to tell us about recent Innsbruck ion experiments #APQC2024
And an AQT follow-up from Akel Hashim about how to hardware tailor QCVV to reduce the overhead #APQC2024
