I wonder what it does to the education departments of states where a domicile certificate is mandatory to get admission in local colleges.
The Supreme Court has ruled that there is only one domicile in India, which is the domicile of India itself. This means that the concept of state-specific or provincial domicile is not recognized in Indian law.
