The first issue of the Technique in 1911 was dedicated to Clean, Old-Fashioned Hate, encouraging students and fans to show up and be loud for the game and for a parade held the morning of the game. 15,000 showed up for what was the most attended GT/UGA game at the time.

John Young, AE 52, HON PhD 03, accumulated 835 hours of spaceflight over his career, including a circumnavigation of the moon during Apollo 10 to see where his future moon missions would land. During Apollo 16, he drove over 16 miles on the lunar rover to collect rock samples.
