Article demos hello world by creating a class in C++, then compare that to Python one line print function. I agree the Python is more readable, but that is quite misleading.
Yes I'd say Python as well. Unless you are planning to design real time / embedded systems where performance is going to be an issue. But even then its easier to understand programming basics with Python and switch to C++ later.
