imo this has some good stuff about what makes ttrpgs distinct and I'm tired of some of my best tweets/threads being stuck in people's replies lol
it's more like a small jazz combo band where most of it is soloing and each person gets a chance to take the reigns and leave their own personal mark on the song vs a composer deliberately writing each part. a game where the GM is the sole writer is a bad game.

Just whatever I think looks cool. I don’t think EVERY RPG is awful, but it’s by far one of the genres I have the least fun with. Katana Zero is one of my favourite games if that gives you any point of reference

imo more people should take this approach to things they own and use a lot. I've had friends now know what model of phone they had, I think your clothes knowledge is gonna be useful in a different way (usually won't have to troubleshoot a pair of pants)
My post was sort of tongue-in-cheek, but I do feel that if you're a jeans and hoodie guy, you can just find versions of what you love. Identify the qualities you like and find better versions of that thing. Will give an example. 🧵
