Nationally, 25% of parents with diaper need reported missing an average of 5 days of work or school in the past month due to not having enough diapers to drop children off at child care. My bill, AB 2446, expands access to free diapers & passed the Assembly. On to the Senate!

PARTNER SHOUT OUT! 📣 Wu Yee Children's Services was founded in 1977 by social workers and parents concerned about the challenges faced by new immigrants in Chinatown. They partner with families, individuals, and organizations across SF to build a strong community for children.
Our Back to School Giveaways were held on July 20 & 27. Thank you @BlueShieldCA, @First5Alameda, @helpamotherout, @ACCFB, @ToysForTots_USA, @OaklandReads, and @fei_foothill. And we like to thank 4Cs board, staff, and the team of @AsmLizOrtega for their time to make distributions!
Every year in July, we review the retail cost of diapers, and unsurprisingly prices continue to increase. Right now, the average cost per diaper is 37 cents. Parents can expect to pay nearly $36 more on diapers this year than last year.
