A great question from the audience highlighted the critical link between climate change and gender-based violence — emphasizing how environmental crises can exacerbate existing inequalities, increase vulnerability, and place women and girls at greater risk.

Day two at the Medical Women’s International Association Congress was filled with engaging high-level panel discussions, poster sessions, and interactive workshops. The day offered a variety of thematic tracks covering diverse health-related topics in advancing women’s health.
It was my honor to once again meet Dr. Eleanor Nwadinobi, President of the Medical Women’s International Association (MWIA), in Cairo, and to connect with the newly elected President, Dr. Muna Asfour — two incredibly charismatic and inspiring women who exemplify leadership.
