ㅤ cold air hitting his hands the moment that licorice let go— listening to his words simply riddled with anxiety. a step forward、leaning in to press a kiss upon his lips. retracting to speak. “is that a worthy answer?” ㅤ
“I understand…” He took a step back, pulling his hands from Velvet’s, nervously ringing them together. “I-I understand if you don’t want to.”
ㅤ it— didn’t seem like a joke、yet this was SUDDEN. “… right.. i uh… like you too. that joke you made hurt、for that very reason. i felt like all of my feelings were stripped away、i didn’t know what to do、licorice.” ㅤ
“N-no, no! It’s not a joke!” He stammered nervously. Did he make it seem like a joke? “I really do love you. Really! I-I like you more than a friend does!” He was only growing redder
ㅤ “you—.. !” oh! wait— … seriously? red velvet found his own cheeks heating up、forcing him to turn his head in a feeble attempt to hide it. “i see… — truly? or is this another joke of yours?” ㅤ
“I’m sorry.” He said again, reaching out to take Velvet’s hands. “I’m sorry for hurting you. I-I realized now that I…I like you more than a friend.” He hung his head, his cheeks turning red. “I think I…like you.”
ㅤ “then consider yourself lucky…” a sigh. it seemed… relieved. as though he were glad that nothing happened to licorice. “is this— all you wanted to say?” ㅤ
“She said she forgave me.” He said, shrugging his shoulders. “I’m her son…she said she would forgive me for everything. She said she’ll never disown me.” He mumbled softly
ㅤ “mn?” he was actually alone、for once too. there was no need to worry any of the cake hounds over this. though they’ll be quick to comfort him if anything DID happen. “what did she say?” ㅤ
“Um…” He hesitated, before he moved closer. “I want to say that I’m sorry for hurting you. All of you. I already talked to mistress…” He said softly, messing with his hands. “I’m sorry. Again.”
ㅤ “yeah? why would i not?” he cared、it truly did speak volumes in him showing up — even if he didn’t outright say anything. “i did.” ㅤ
Licorice showed up about ten minutes later, head down. He was not expecting to see Velvet. “Oh-! You showed up.” He didn’t expect that. “Did you like the gift?”
